Shop Policies & FAQs

What is your return policy?

All new products are sold with the manufacturer's limited warranty. The warranty period and service varies by manufacturer and product. The full text of any such warranty is available, free of charge, upon email request to info@souldrifterguitars.com.au

If you are not completely satisfied with any product, return it for a full refund of the product purchase price, full credit, or exchange of your choice. We give you 3 days from the delivery date on used & vintage items, and 30 days on new items. Sale items are sold as-is and cannot be returned.

Should you find it necessary to return any merchandise, it must be shipped within this 3-day (Vintage/Used items) or 30-day (New items) period. Please follow the return instructions. All returned items must include a Return Authorization Number, be in the original packaging complete with all components including the warranty card and owner's manual and show no signs of wear or abuse; otherwise the return may either be refused or subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Credit card returns are issued a credit for purchase price. Refunds are made for product value only, excluding shipping and handling charges.

Where is Soul Drifter Guitars located?

Soul Drifter Guitars is based out of Sydney, Australia.

Can I try a guitar before buying?

We can't always accommodate this but we will do our best. Let us know, and if things line up, we would be happy to make it so you can try a piece of gear. Otherwise, we plan to host regular 'open houses' where you can come try everything and who knows, maybe even get a discount.

How do you gauge fret wear?

We assess fret wear for every guitar in the shop and try to give you an accurate description of the fret wear. Largely, it will fall into three buckets:

  • The guitar has little to no fret wear.
  • The guitar has enough fret life / material left to go through a successful redress. In these cases, we'll let you know that there is some fret wear but nothing that would impact intonation, bending etc.
  • The guitar has fret wear and not enough material left to go through a redress. In these cases we will be very specific of areas of the fretboard that have pitting, denting, etc.

Any discounts or promos I should know about?

Our instagram page @souldrifterguitars is the best place to keep up to date on any current discount or promotion codes. Also, feel free to message us at info@souldrifterguitars.com.au and we will let you know if we have room on any item to meet your budget.

How do I know my purchase will arrive safely?

We use awesome couriers and pack items professionally using plenty of bubble wrap, cardboard etc.

Can I buy now and pay later?

We offer the ability to pay with Afterpay at checkout for all items. If you choose to return an item you paid for using Afterpay, we will deduct the Afterpay fee from your refund total.

My husband or wife doesn't want me to buy another guitar, should I buy a guitar from you?

Probably not. We recommend you have a chat with your spouse about why this guitar is important to you. Once you complete this important step and obtain a thumbs up, let us know and we'll be happy to have a chat about making it happen!

My husband or wife doesn't agree with the amount I need to pay for this guitar?

Household finances are not our expertise. Our suggestion to you: work out your budget in collaboration with whoever needs to weigh in (spouse included of course). Once you do that, you can move on to finding a guitar that fits your needs and budget. If we are lucky enough to have the right guitar in stock, go for it. If you can't afford it, let us know (leave your spouse out of it, though).
