The Crews crew is extremely proud of being Japanese craftsmen. They are extremely particular when choosing materials and exacting when going through their builds. The KTR (Key To The Rock) model is a perfect example. 

The MIJ KTR pickups give this JM a little bit of a rounder tone without losing the attack and twang that players love in a JM.

The body is made of Okoume (or as it is known in the trade, akoumé), which exhibits many of the tonal properties of maple. Guitars made with okoumé are noticeably lighter in weight than those made with mahogany or rosewood. The maple / rosewood fingerboard neck is satin finished, feels fast and steady.
