Delicious Taylormade Custom Order Dark Sunburst / Natural

This Delicious Taylormade custom Telecaster was built as a one-off instrument inspired by the legendary all-rosewood Telecasters, but with a crucial difference: practical weight and balance. Traditional all-rosewood builds are famously heavy, so this guitar was commissioned to retain the visual character of rosewood while keeping the weight closer to that of a standard Telecaster.

The result is a beautifully balanced instrument weighing just under 3.2 kg, making it far more comfortable for extended playing sessions than typical solid rosewood guitars. The body showcases a thin Dark Sunburst / Natural finish designed to let the grain remain visible, giving the instrument a warm, organic appearance.

The aesthetic continues with gold-toned hardware, adding a subtle touch of luxury without overpowering the classic Telecaster design. A set of Gotoh tuners and a high-quality oil bone nut provide dependable tuning stability and smooth string response.

Electronics were selected as part of the original custom order. The pickups feature vintage-style slotted pole screws and are voiced to complement the guitar’s resonant wood character—delivering clear articulation, strong midrange presence, and the dynamic response expected from a Telecaster platform.

Relic treatment gives the instrument a gently aged appearance, while the guitar itself has seen very little actual playing time, having spent most of its life as a display piece.

A unique custom Telecaster that captures the spirit of the iconic rosewood models while remaining practical and comfortable to play.
