Edwards by ESP E-LP-85CD Les Paul Custom Orange Early 00s

Edwards

$1,800.00 AUD

The E-LP-85CD is one of the more distinctive Les Paul Customs produced by Edwards during the early 2000s. Built before Edwards adopted serial numbers on many models, it represents an era when the brand was rapidly developing a reputation for delivering premium Japanese craftsmanship and high-end specifications at a remarkably accessible price point.

Finished in a striking Orange that borders on fluorescent under certain lighting, this is not a guitar that blends into the background. The vibrant finish is paired with black hardware and black pickup covers, creating a bold contrast that gives the instrument a distinctly modern edge while retaining the classic Les Paul Custom silhouette.

Construction follows a proven formula: a mahogany body with a carved maple top, paired with a substantial mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. Unlike many Japanese guitars of the period, the neck profile has a fuller, more substantial feel that will appeal to players who prefer a little more wood in hand.

Under the black pickup covers sits the original Seymour Duncan pairing: a SH-1n '59 in the neck and SH-4 JB in the bridge. This combination has become a modern classic for good reason. The '59 provides warmth, clarity, and excellent note separation, while the JB adds punch, sustain, and a focused midrange that excels in rock and hard rock applications. Together they offer a versatile voice capable of everything from articulate cleans to saturated lead tones.

A unique MIJ Les Paul Custom that combines premium specifications, proven electronics, and one of the most eye-catching finishes Edwards ever offered.
