Fender Japan Telecaster TL-52-80 Vintage Natural
Fender Japan Telecaster TL-52-80 Vintage Natural
Fender Japan '52 Spec Telecaster, crafted in Japan in vintage natural finish. A faithful take on the classic '52 T with a lot of features that make it a true player’s tele; stands up against any similar made in the USA tele.
The 80 in the model number indicates a higher end model: lightweight USA ash body, brass saddles and a pair of USA Texas Special pickups. That all adds up brilliantly in the guitar’s feel and tone; there's a stack of clarity and punch on hand, as well as a singing, open midrange and a crystal clear treble... it'll push a valve amp to a tasty breakup.
The neck has some nice flame through the maple, it's a very tidy piece. The body is lively and loud unplugged, you can feel all the notes ringing around as you play. This is a sweet Tele, and it's bonus to score one in such tidy shape; you really can't go wrong here.
Condition: Very minor dings and chips, some rust / build-up in bridge
Playability: Straight neck, some fret wear, action is comfortable, no issues with electronics.
