A 1979 Gibson Les Paul Standard in great condition and in perfect working order. 100% original, this Les Paul features a beautiful Brown Sunburst nitro lacquer finish, delivering an array of classic Gibson tones from the T-Top humbuckers. The thick carved maple top and solid mahogany body deliver incredible clarity, warmth, and sustain, and at only 4.4 kg (9lbs 11oz) this Les Paul is a very manageable weight too. The finish brilliantly shows off the flame top underneath which is not common for LP’s of this era.
The bridge pickup has round, chiming tones with a hint of growl and great cut, while the middle position has an ideal rhythm sound, especially with the neck pickup rolled back just a touch. The neck position humbucker has great warmth and woof without sacrificing detail, providing a perfect lead sound and a sweetness that lends itself to complex chord voicings. Professionally refretted and setup Corcoran Custom Guitars by master luthier Craig Corcoran, this Les Paul is dialed in with 10-46 strings, low action, and perfect intonation (refret happened after pictures were taken, msg for new pictures if you'd like to see the final job)
The three-piece maple neck has a slender C shaped profile with gently sloping shoulders and a hair more depth in the higher registers of the fretboard. The neck profile shows some finish wear through the Brown Sunburst lacquer.The rosewood fretboard features pearl trapezoid inlays and original cream binding. The nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and on the headstock.

Condition: Some dings on the body and headstock, no major scratches that would be visible from afar. Finish discoloration mark on the back of the neck, see pictures. Top tuners rubbed against the headstock in the past but do not represent a playability issue.
Playability: Straight neck, no buzzing, 0 fretwear as it has been professionally refretted recently, action is comfortable, no issues with electronics.
