Listen up guys! This guitar was made especially for the Japanese market. We’ve had a few of those Japanese-market only Gibsons come through the shop, going back to the late 70s when they would produce LP Standards with killer flamed tops. Japanese runs always bring something special to the table. The Japanese guitar buyer is savvy, they are used to great craftsmanship, so we can see Gibson pouring everything they have into these.

This is a Limited Japan Run Flying V in Vintage Sunburst with a few tasteful changes that make it unique and extra cool looking. First off, the white guard has been replaced by a killer tortoise guard. The colour combo makes me think vintage strat for some reason, I never imagined it on a V but it looks really cool. The pickup selector switch has been given a black tip to complement the witch hats. The nut has been swapped out by a luthier (no finish cracking or negative effects). The zebra bobbins in the 57 classics have been exposed by removing the old nickel plated covers.

This guitar looks the part but the magic is in the tone of course. The neck is nice and chunky and the pickups sing with a nice rounded tone that will fit most musical styles.

These were produced as a Limited run for Japan with the 70's headstock shape and a very comfortable neck shape that was made to be right in between a 59 and 60. Great sounding Classic '57 and Classic '57 Pro pickups. Comes with Gibson Brown Hard Shell Case.
