In a world where the Les Paul players usually get to gloat over custom appointments and figured woods, the SG Supreme launches double-cutaway players into the gorgeously flamed stratosphere, with a beautifully attired, custom-equipped SG that is ready to take on all comers. This SG Supreme pairs an amazing figured maple top beneath Trans Black finish.
At launch, the SG Supreme was the most luxurious SG on the market. That is, of course, excluding the Gibson Custom Shop models. This tuned up axe comes with a solid, six-string body with double cutaway and set in neck joint. It is made of mahogany base and flame maple top. Mahogany base is completely solid and features a contoured back side.
Flame maple top is flat and finished in high gloss in beautiful Transparent Black. Tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar in the back are matched with Grover tuners. Neck on this SG is made of mahogany with an incredibly well crafted bound ebony 22-fret fingerboard featuring the classic slim taper contour.
Condition: Dents and scratches in the body and neck. Hardware has aged and scratched over the years. Some lacquer peeling in the headstock. Bartolini sticker in the back (easily removed, let us know if you want us to remove it prior to shipping).
Playability: Straight neck, no buzzing, some fret wear that does not impact playability or intonation, action is comfortable, no issues with electronics
