GJ2 by Grover Jackson Limited Edition Green Meanie Slime Green Gloss

The GJ2 Green Meanie is one of the rarest instruments produced by GJ2 Guitars, a company founded by legendary guitar builder Grover Jackson following his departure from the Jackson brand. Limited to just 36 guitars worldwide—with only 12 allocated to Asia—the Green Meanie pays tribute to one of the most recognisable Superstrats in rock history while showcasing the uncompromising craftsmanship that defined the GJ2 workshop in California.

Every GJ2 guitar was handcrafted in the company's California workshop, with Grover Jackson personally overseeing final inspection before each instrument left the factory. Rather than outsourcing components, GJ2 manufactured many of its own parts in-house, including the proprietary Habanero pickups and pickguards, reflecting the company's philosophy of maintaining complete control over quality and consistency.

The body is crafted from ash, paired with a shallow D-profile maple neck and maple fingerboard featuring a 10"-14" compound radius. Combined with premium Jescar 57110 frets, the result is an exceptionally fast and comfortable playing experience that feels equally at home tackling technical lead work, expressive bends, or articulate rhythm playing.

Electronics consist of GJ2's original Habanero Classic HSH pickup configuration. The combination of two humbuckers and a Classic Plus single coil provides remarkable versatility, covering everything from sparkling cleans to powerful high-gain tones while retaining excellent clarity and note definition. A genuine Floyd Rose tremolo and Gotoh tuners complete the package, delivering the tuning stability and precision expected from a professional-grade instrument.

With GJ2 no longer in production, instruments like the Green Meanie have become increasingly difficult to find. Produced in extremely limited numbers and built under the direct supervision of one of the most influential names in modern guitar history, it represents both a serious collector's piece and an outstanding player's instrument.

  Excellent overall condition. The gloss finish presents beautifully with no significant dents or chips. There are some extremely light surface marks on the pickguard that are only visible under strong lighting, along with the minor signs of careful use expected from a collector-owned instrument.
