Ibanez DYUKE-1 ID90 Crystal Pearl 1989
Ibanez DYUKE-1 ID90 Crystal Pearl 1989
The ID90 is a solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1989. It was part of the short-lived Dyuke series which was produced by FujiGen and offered only in Japan.
The Dyuke line features a body style reminiscent of the Fender Stratocaster. It's an offset, double-cutaway shape with horns that are a bit shorter and wider than those of the RG body.
The ID90 features an ash body with binding to a maple neck and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with binding and sharktooth position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Lo-Z active pickups with a humbucker and the bridge and a single-coil at the neck, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut, Sure Grip II knobs, and Gotoh tuning machines. It has a small tortoise pickguard mounted below the pickups.
Controls consist of a master volume and two EQ controls for treble (±20 dB @ 6 KHz) and bass (±13 dB @ 500 KHz).
The entire Dyuke line, including the ID90, was discontinued after just one year of production. This ID has yellowed to a beautiful cream colour that takes this further into 80’s glam territory.
Condition: Some very minor scratches on the front, only noticeable when looking up close, deeper scratches / buckle rash in the back (see pictures). Some scratches on the neck, nothing that impacts playability.
Playability: Straight neck, no buzzing, almost no fret wear, action is comfortable, no issues with electronics
