Psychederhythm Psychomaster Hollow Jazzmaster Transparent Blue

Psychederhythm is a boutique builder out of Shibuya, Tokyo that started out exclusively building fully custom guitars. They were overwhelmed by the positive response to their work and shortly after started producing small runs of guitars that are sold exclusively at some of Tokyo’s higher end shops (G-Club, Kurosawa Music, Ikebe etc.). Their guitars are known for being uncompromising high quality builds and for featuring off-the-wall colour combinations that ensure they stand out from other Fender-based instruments. 

The Psychomaster Hollow is a great example of what Psychederhythm can do. It is a hollow-body Jazzmaster platform featuring an beatiful grain ash top over a basswood body. This guitar rings out in a really nice way when it's not plugged in so it's really fun to play. 

The ash top has some really cool grain which is well served by the transparent blue finish which is also complemented by the edge “binding where you can see the natural colour of the wood peeking through. The great aesthetic choices continue with the pearloid pickguard and minimalistic white knobs.

The neck is a super fast hard maple with a satin finish crowned with a two-tone matching headstock with vintage tuners. The vibrato is one of the musical vibrato sounds you’ll ever hear. Instead of diving it gives your playing a more subtle swirl that is beautiful. 

Stop by Leichhardt and judge for yourself, when people throw out the “custom shop” term for boutique builders you never know what you are going to get, but we think Psychederhythm delivers. 

Condition: Some very minor scratches, only noticeable when looking up close.

Playability: Straight neck, no buzzing, almost no fret wear, action is comfortable, no issues with electronics
