SeventySeven Guitars Albatross DX
SeventySeven Guitars Albatross DX
SeventySeven Guitars are built by the same master craftsmen that produce Momose and Headway guitars. The brand started in 1977 as the electric alternative to Japan’s famous Headway acoustics.
The Albatross is likely the most recognizable model in the SeventySeven lineup. Albatross’ are lightweight, super-comfortable, great feeling and rich in bass that is never muddy with glassy highs that are never shrill. The mahogany body is chambered out and enhanced with a maple center block, which gives the guitar its characteristic tone and feel. Combining the mild mid-tones of the mahogany back with the maple’s attack and articulation this is not a combo that will let you down.
This Albatross features a beautiful flamed top, top notch hardware and a great set of custom humbuckers. If you are looking for a jazzy axe that can give you beautiful clean tones without breaking your back or the occasional semi-hollow classic rock tone in your arsenal, the Albatross delivers.
