Edwards by ESP E-JK-110FR Candy Apple Red 2009
Edwards
The E-JK-110FR is a purpose-built MIJ Superstrat from Edwards’ golden era, designed squarely for high-performance playing. This example features a single, angle-mounted bridge humbucker—a nod to classic Kramer-style layouts—optimised for attack, clarity, and string-to-string balance.
The angled Seymour Duncan zebra-coil humbucker tightens the low strings while keeping the treble side articulate and cutting, making it especially effective for fast rhythm work and focused lead tones. With no neck pickup to soften the response, the guitar delivers a direct, immediate feel that rewards precision and aggressive picking.
As expected from Edwards by ESP, build quality is excellent: a fast bolt-on neck, clean fretwork, and a Floyd Rose tremolo that stays stable under heavy use. The stripped-back electronics layout keeps things simple and reliable, while the Candy Apple Red finish gives it a distinctly period-correct aesthetic.
A no-compromise MIJ performance guitar—lean, focused, and unapologetically player-first.
