Edwards sits just a step below full ESP Japan production, and in practice that means exceptional fit, finish, and design consistency without the boutique scarcity. The E-THROBBER is a modern reinterpretation of the classic Tele-style platform, built for tighter response and greater control than the semi-hollow Throbber variants.

Unlike the original Throbber design, the E-THROBBER does away with the internal sound-reservoir construction in favor of a solid alder body. The result is a more focused low end, faster attack, and improved note definition—especially noticeable under gain or complex chord voicings.

Several thoughtful Edwards/ESP design features elevate this well beyond a traditional Tele format. The CT System headstock introduces a subtle head angle that improves string tension and tuning stability, while the star-cut neck joint enhances upper-fret access without compromising the familiar bolt-on feel.

Electronics are a versatile Seymour Duncan pairing: a SP90-1n in the neck for clarity and texture, and a TB-59 in the bridge delivering articulate output with a smooth, vintage-voiced edge. Both pickups are moderately wound, allowing the natural character of the instrument to come through rather than overpowering it.
